Contamination of water by pesticides is one of the main environmental problems. Among the agricultural crops, potatoes stand out, as they employ a large quantity of pesticides throughout their production. This article aims to present a case study on the potato processing activity, discussing the environmental licensing process of the activity and the analysis of the impacts caused by the release of effluents into the environment.
